Treat them as an estimate. Phone microphones differ in sensitivity between models and apply noise suppression, so this is not a replacement for a certified sound level meter.
Comparing readings taken with the same phone is still meaningful. "This room is normally 35 dB but reaches 75 dB at this hour" is the comparison that helps most.
If you own a sound level meter, you can shift the reading to match it under Settings → Calibration.
On the recording screen, "Video + dB meter" records silent video. A phone has one microphone and only one feature can hold it, so in this mode the App keeps measuring and saves the audio as a separate file instead.
Choose "Video + sound" if you want a single file with sound. In that mode the meter pauses while filming.
The free version keeps 20 recordings. Beyond that, the oldest are removed automatically. Premium removes the limit.
Videos and evidence images already saved to your photo library are kept even when the recording is deleted.
Cancel from your store account. Deleting the App does not cancel it.
You can also open it from "Manage subscription" on the Premium screen in the App.
Try "Restore purchases" on the purchase screen. You must be signed in with the same Apple ID / Google account you bought with.
