This policy describes how Noise Recorder (the "App") handles your data.

2. Data kept only on your device

Everything the App creates stays on your device only. None of it is sent to the developer or to any third party.

  • Audio recordings (captured from the microphone to measure sound levels)
  • Videos recorded with the camera, and the evidence images built from them
  • Readings (decibel values and their timestamps)
  • Location data (latitude, longitude, and the address your device resolves)
  • Notes you add to a recording
  • App settings (display language, calibration offset, and so on)

Files are stored in the App's own storage, or in your photo library when you save them there. Uninstalling the App deletes the data in the App's storage. Files already saved to your photo library stay on the device.

3. Why each permission is needed

No permission is used for any other purpose. Location is requested for "while using the app" only; the App never collects location in the background.

4. Advertising

When used for free, the App shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect information such as an advertising identifier in order to deliver and measure ads.

  • You can change ad personalisation from "Settings → Ad privacy settings" in the App (shown in the regions where it applies) or from your device settings.

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, consent is collected (via Google's UMP) before ads are shown.

On iOS the App asks for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency) at start-up. If you decline, no feature is restricted; you simply see non-personalised ads.

Your recordings, location data and readings are never shared with advertising partners.

5. Subscriptions

Premium (a monthly auto-renewing subscription) is purchased and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment details are handled by those stores and never reach the App.

Purchase state is managed with RevenueCat, Inc. Information about the purchase (the product, the purchase date, and an anonymous user identifier) is sent to RevenueCat. No directly identifying information such as your name or email address is sent.

6. Age

The App is intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not designed for children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Deleting your data

  • Delete individual recordings from the recordings list or the detail screen.
  • To remove everything, uninstall the App.
  • Files already saved to your photo library must be deleted from your device's photo app.

9. Changes

This policy may be revised when the law changes or when features are added. When something material changes, the date above is updated and the change is noted in the App's release notes.
